Instructor: Eva Hudson
Tasting Type: Sit Down*
Named after the fog (nebbia) that blankets the vineyards of Piedmont, Nebbiolo is most famously the grape of the Barolo and Barbaresco regions of northern Italy. Sangiovese, or “Blood of Jupiter” in Italian, is the country’s most-planted variety and is synonymous with the Montalcino and Chianti regions of Tuscany. But the aforementioned wine zones are not the be-all and end-all of Nebbiolo and Sangiovese, as delights await beyond their borders.
Join Eva to wade through blood and fog, all whilst learning about the origins and traditions of these fascinating grape varieties.
